Keke Palmer’s Bedazzled French Manicure Is Ready for the Red Carpet

Look no further than Keke Palmer for the best bold nail inspiration. From chic chocolate brown chrome nails to butterfly nail art, Palmer does it all. And, of course, she had to put her own spin on the biggest nail trend yet this year. Her latest twist on the French manicure is worthy of the red carpet—literally.

Palmer gave us a glimpse of her winning experience at the Webby Awards on Instagram. She posted a slideshow of photos on May 14, and acknowledged the awards for granting her the Best Host and Special Achievement Award. “It was a fabulous night, @amberruffin was an awesome MC” she wrote, “Was a blessing spending it with my family and colleagues!”

If only True Jackson could see herself now. The host of NBC’s show Password wore a custom cream-colored Sergio Hudson gown that had a corset silhouette and a billowing mermaid maxi-skirt. The best accessory to any red carpet ensemble is a great manicure, and Palmer complimented her gown with long stiletto-shaped nails that put a glam spin on classic French tips.

Instead of glossy white tips, each nail was painted with a glittery silver polish and adorned with gemstones. Just last week, Rihanna wore a similar silver French manicure, sans the jewels.

Her beauty for the night was just as good. Makeup artist Kenya Alexis was credited for Palmer’s glam. She opted for an ombré golden brown smoky eye with flecks of glitter on her lid. For the lip look, she used dark brown lip liner that blended out into a nude shade and a layer of gloss on top. She topped the look off with soft bronzed cheeks.Shauna Sterling made and styled Palmer’s wig for the night, which had a glamorous side-part and loose waves.

The finishing touch of Palmer’s look was matching the silver gems on her nails with her silver jewelry.
